Devoid of brain cells.

You can pick almost anybody from any country in the world and ask them a question or two about what is important, to them and to the way the world functions. I will bet a penny to a pound that they will say, honesty, integrity, kindness, caring about our fellows and behaving well, nicely and with good thought. Those are values that underpin the way that society works, in any country in the world. It is humanity after all and is the basis of human trait. That being the case, which it is, how come some people assume that it is proper behaviour to rant out abuse to others via he internet. I know that the received wisdom and analysis is that becuase the net is once removed from direct human, face to face contact, humans do not make the connection in the same way, in that you would not say horrible things to another person when you are making eye contact. I get that and there may be something in it. However, why would anybody want to say disgusting and horrible things to anybody else anyway. Of course there are times when any person might make a point to another over their conduct in some aspect or another, but when, for example the other person has done nothing wrong, or done anything to elicit horrible and disgusting behaviour, why would anybody do it.

I am highlighting here the aspect of such behaviour for which I can find no word strong enough, in relation to the death of Robin Williams. It is a sad, sad thing when anybody feels that they cannot continue to live, but one must respet their choice and their despair, what one does not do is dish out stupid, screw loose and disgusting behaviour to the family, who are in bereavement and who have done nothing wrong. It appears from what I hear, is that e-mails have been sent to members of his family, which e-mails are full of vile and appalling words of nastiness. Why? I have not got a clue. What is wrong is that there are really thick and stupid people in the world who do not deserve the air they breath. When I say stupid, if I were to say that to their face, they would I hope, consider themselves to be insulted, unless of course that they are stupid, in which case they would not know they had been insulted, so I have to assume that they really are stupid, and not just horrible people. I have to assume that they were not brought up to be horrible people by their mothers and fathers and that they too understand the way that the world works and want honesty, integrity and kindness to prevail around them, and indeed to them. So do grow up all of you out there who indulge yourselves in such ridiculous behaviour and think yourself stupid if you do, but  also think yourself a horrible person too.

Thinking

Billy Bragg commened tghe other day that he thought that todays politicians are not less cognitively able than previous cohorts of politicians. He in other words, did not think that our cuurent politicians are any dimmer than they used to be.  I have to say that I disagree with him. Looking a politicians accross the world, with one or two notable exceptions of course, I think it is pretty obvious that there is not much reflection and emotional intelligence going on. In fact, not just the politicians, people in general.

We have no philosophers these days, thinkers and cognitives who are inputting any leads. The level of thought process is short and inward. Look at the way women ae treated accross the world.  That takes no thought at all. Leads nobody to beleive that there is any examination of behaviour.

Thirty years ago, there was a lot of talk about the human race evolving and improving itself. Whereas we might have completed our evolution in the physical sense, at least as far as we know, we have miles and miles to go so far as the evolution of the mind is concerned. We seemed to have stopped trying to improve our behaviours, examine our thought processess and beliefs, reflect and crtricaly reflect, try to be nicer humans to others, concentrate on what is important and not concentrate on crap, which is unfortunately high profile at the moment.

For the love of God, think, examine, reflect and reach a better decision that the one you are going for now. A decision that does not hurt others, and puts you in a higher bracket of intellectual and 'good'.

Revolt

I have just been listening to an article on radio 4 about the revolt taking place against the bankers bonus annual routine this year. One of the speakers predictably said that 'if you want good and clever people to work at the banks and make money, then you have to pay them astrinomical amounts of cash, and that receiving a bonus that is twice your annual salary is perfectly fine'. The other speaker pointed out that the differential between the poor and the rich is wider now than it was before the 1930's and it is growing. This is a world wide issue. The question here to be addressed is basically what is the most important issue. Which concept should receive precedence?

The payment of huge bonuses is only a mindset. Losing clever people because they apparently will not earn enough to justify them getting out of bed is only a mindset. It is a 'way of thinking' that has become some sort of truth in the mind of those who wish to justify the indefensible. You can tell yourself anything you like, the telling does not make the point a truth. This is the case in this issue. The question to ask is why this job should be so different from any other as to justify huge amounts of remuneration by bonus? What are the bonus receivers and payers congratulating themselves about by patting themselves on the back with money? The mindset is that they deserve it and that it is a truth that they should receive it, and that it is ok that we maintain and enlarge the differential between the haves and the have nots. In any case, the point about making money through bank activity was I thought, to benefit us all.

It has already been said that the banks do not add to the moral good in their practice, either in the micro or the macro. Ask yourself the question as to which aspect is the most important and necessary approach to helping the world and making the world something at least, of being a better place. I always thought that that is what we were working towards as a collective, but that concept seems to have gone of the radar in recent years. Certainly so in the case here it seems. Why do we want to live in a world where we make up rules for some, in a mindset that attempts to defend the indefensible.

Comments

I am very busy clearing all the daft e-mails in my comments page. Lots of nonsense from Louis Vitton, Mulberry and other apparent cheap outlets, which bloggs seem to have little or nothing to do with the merchandise. Not that I know what it all means anyway, but there is certainly a great deal of nonsense in the writing. I can't make head nor tail of it all. I think it adds up to some sort of code, known and understood by those in the know only. Clearly not me, and I do not undertstand the point and what it is all for. Terrible grammer much of the time too. I am not sure why I am bothering to comment really. Please think about doing something useful instead.

Sarcasm

The privatisation of the post office is  yet another nonsense. Having learnt nothing from the privatisation of the energy supply and the railway, the government embark on the same pitiful process with an institution that in fact we, as a collective, hold rather dear in our hearts. Even with it's failings. Of course they are (Cameron and his cohort) not interested  in learning that privatisation of such public services is a nonsense and results in chaos and profit motivation above all else, which I suppose some might say, proves that the Tories care nothing for the populace but only the holders of the means to make money. Looking after the people is not the priority and neither is looking after the service. I wonder then where their cognition is as a group which proport to be in politics to make things better. I don't think so.

I am not sure if it is usual to discover on the comment section of a blog, to find thousands of irrelvant and unrelated messages coming from China. Much of the content is indeciferable anyway mostly full of nonsense. I am rather aghast at this. I know that the web is open to all kinds of nonsense, but this nonsense is beyond anything that can even be called nonsense. I am busy deleting it all. It feels very messy to have such rubbish in my in box. I know that my blog means nothing, other than to me, but this stuff cannot mean anything to anybody.

Bankers today

So it seems that yet another scandel around bank behaviours is released and realised today. Well who is surprised?  The remedy apparently to stoping the banking fraternity bad behavioiur is to fine them lots of money. Well that does not work clearly, because they keep on keeping on with their underhand and dishonest behaviours. A monetary fine is no deterrent. They just drift back to work and start again, because it is not direct and does not effect them sufficiently to be meaningful. The way to stop and deterr this nasty mindset is to give the culprits a fine of doing community work. Sweeping the streets, collecting rubbish etc. That would stop them. It really would. A banker would not want to be seen in the street with a broom wearing a hgh visibiliy jacket, it would destroy his street cred and inflated sense of himself. A jumped up piggy bank could not manage such a thing in his phsycology and would very likely think twice before embarking on a series of lies, more lies and statistics.

What a refreshing idea.

I have often pondered on the thought that feminism is not just a womans issue. Of course we know that, but I have not understood why it seems to be left to women to always have to promote this issue, defend it or work so hard to get the message accross. Seeing as it is men who make feminism as issue to be worked at, would it not be obvious that men should be doing half the work to promote the issue and work on changing the situation. I rarely if ever hear any man, or woman come to that, talking about feminism and equality in this way. Unitl today that is, when a womans hour article focussed exactly on the aspect. Thank you those men whoever you are. About time though I might say. The rest of you men, stop praising page three and get up and grow up and do something too. It does nothing for your image you know or the respect that you no doubt want, just being complacent, silly, or lazy about perpetuating a mind set that by now, should be outdated and outlawed. All you women too, say so to the men you know.

Ooooh!

This government we unfortunately have to live 'under', reaches knew 'heights' everyday in its crassness. Driving around in a van, showing a poster which tells people to 'go home' is crass and rude, and is a naasty way of dealing with what apparently is a problem. If it is a problem, I  am sure that there are many better ways of dealing with it. I know there are in fact. Mr. Cameron, I would really prefer that I was not having to be associated with your disgusting tactics. I think the tone of this campaign tells us all we need to know about the attitude and style of this government. If I were not already on the immigrants side, your 'pitch' would certainly make me so.

On another point. Bringing up children is THE most important job that we, all of us, do. This is the next generation, and the issues of attachment in early life, is vital to the future welbeing of people, children as they grow into adults.  VITAL. Tax breaks are great, but not just for the rich surely, and not just for women, for it mostly is, who choose to go to work. The rich can afford to pay for quality childminding, and some cannot afford to stay at home, even if they wanted to.. There is nothing so good that a parent can do, as to stay at home and parent inthe childs first years. Yet another stupid, biased, uninformed and ill thought about policy by this ridiculous government. If it was not so important, I would laugh. Not at the policy, but at Cameron and his crew. As it is, I have to bite my nails. It is all so infantile and adolescent.

Today, yesterday and when will it be different.

We have very odd incongruities in our thought processess. Actually not that maybe, but uncongruities in the social functioning and positioning of women. Still in 2013 it is crazy. Where Marion Bartolli is chastised for not being 'a looker' and the wrongness of saying that is, quite rightly, examined and chatted out on the airwaves over and over, and apoligies given in verbal and written form, we then have a position where Dr. Leah and Alan Sugar are apparently happy to make lots of money out of people who aren't 'lookers' who want to be 'lookers', and we seem to think that is alright. People/society on the one hand are up in arms when silly comments are made about a persons lack of beauty, and then those same people rush to the medical centre to have fillers and face peels, and somehow that's alright and not seen as peculiar in it's mismatch.

I have just been listening to womens hour where it was said to be justified that because Aristotle thought that facial beauty was an essential for women, we can continue with that thought now, and justify this ridiculous position that women keep perpetuating for society and men. Why have we not moved on and collected a sensible approach to looks? Why does this nonsense maintain itself? If you ask the question of the vast majority of the poplation as to whether looks matter, theh will say no, and yet we persist in not acting out that position, and continue to persist in chasing the fact that it does.

The comodification of women is alive, well and kicking, and is entrenching itself unfortunately. We are supposed to be evolving. We are suppossed to be growing up, and developing our society into an equal stance for all. Lookers, non-lookers, women and men, all being equal and valued for themselves and their individual contribution to us all,  and their diversity.

There is apparently a new video which accompany's a pop song where the women on the video walk around naked, the men walk around fully dressed and the lyrics of the song contain words like 'bitch' and 'you want it'. Men singing it apparently. Stupid song of course, Thagt goes without saying. What is interesting is that when asked on the street, young women and men, seem to think that that is fine. No problem apparently. How come? Well how come is because they have not given the situation any real thought at all and simply taken the video at face value, not linking or connecting the nakedness and diminishing of the women with the object scenario of women's value and place, page 3, or botox. In a world where women are consistently maintained as the plaything of men, all across the world, beaten, raped, humiliated   and worked on a day to day basis, we really have to get the priorities right now. The new generation have stopped thinking and have been brainwashed into a subservient position where they think they can do anything they like or want, and in fact that is very very far from the truth. Too much has been forgotten.

Trident

Trident is not a deterrant. Deterrants do not work as a tool for behaviour modification on the whole, and Trident does not work in that way either. It is out dated and out moded. I cannot imagine that we will ever use it, even if a bomb were to be dropped on us. That would be really childish behaviour. Think about where the threat, if we can even call it that, is coming from. The whole idea is nonsense. Scrap trident and use the money for something really useful.   I am surprised that a man of Michael Heseltines' calibre has not thought this thing through in an up to date scenario. Stop clinging to old ideas and situations.

I am not sure why David Cameron does not just introduce a new poor law and have done with it. In fact, perhaps that is what he is working towards, poor law legislation. Well done Cameron. You seem to be back on the track of the feckless poor and lets do all we can to hate the poor and downtrodden and punish them for not being high flyers. More fool them for being ill or disabled or in a place that you can never know or even understand at all, let alone have compassion over. You must have been talking to Maggie Thatcher. Why do you think that squeezing benefits or housing benefit or making poeple take in lodgers is a good thing. Surely life should have got better since 1950. Seems not. Looks like we are going backwards. How is it that we are the fifth largest economy and we mke such suggestions, and you sit back and say lovely, we are opening more food banks everyday. Is that your big society, where we are all supposed to be doing your job. Looks like rubbish to me.

I am jst sending a message to Richard Bransom. If anyone knows him, could you pass on this message please? I am rather surprised if not to say ashamed, that Richard has no women on his board, so it would be lovely to think that he might put this right soon, if not tomorrow. Very odd that it is the case anyway. Also, can you Richard please take that dreadful advert off the telly please. The one for Virgin holidays with an apparently naked woman on it. The voice over talks about something like 'that is not all we have taken of this year'. What if ??? is all that about in 2013. Get it right Richard.!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a good idea for me to express more of the thought lines and reasoning that occur.
I look forward to Lord Levenson's report this week.
It cannot be beyond anyones doubt that the newspaper industry needs regulation. It has nothing to do with curtailing freedom of speach, as someone so stupidly kept banging on about the other day on radio 4. We cannot of course curtail freedom of speach, as Voltaire said, 'I may not agree with what you say, but I would fight to the death, your right to say it'. Quite right and an absolute given. Newspapers are bound in duty, to investigate, expose and inform us, the general public without the means to find out for ourselves, where such needs to be investigaed, exposed and given as information to us. That is an area not for Levenson and not to be regulated, however, newspapers are not doing so much of this as they once used to. For the most part, and in general I speak of the tabloids here who give good journalism a bad name, although not entirely them, what they have drifted into is an underhand, sleazy, nasty way of operating which is only about exposing peoples vulnerabilities, private lives and personal infomation that has ususally no business in the public domain, and the way is which they have sought to harrass and threaten the people involved. In fact, it is the way in which the information is gathered that is so at fault. Disgusting tactics and ways of operating is not a phrase that is strong enough, but is a truth. That is the part of journalism, if that is what we could call it, hacks who indulge in 'to**** techniques' have to be regulated. That is the real point. Freedom of speach and to****'s need to separated out, that is all.

Actually, not everybody can go on to the lowest gas price tarif Mr. Government because if you don't have a bank account or a wish to pay by direct debit, you are penalised because paying through the bank is he cheapest apparently. As per usual, all set up to benefit the organisation and not the consumer. Ya boo sucks.

In my job, I cannot do anything without receiving the express permission of the guardian in my case. I would not consider making any move of note, without gaining that permission first. Even though this may hobble my way forward, it is right that I do not make moves without having back-up. That way nobody gets hurt, does not know, and all are on-board and in agreement. As well as that, I am not in a position to violate anybody. The press continue to misunderstand what violation is. Deliberately I may say. As the owner of my body, I am the only person to give permission for its being shown to anybody else in the whole world. That priniciple stands for all of us. EVERY LAST ONE OF US LIVING NOW. The press have ABSOLUTELY no right to show pictures of anybody without their permission, and no amount of slick self justification will change that fact. The french press are WRONG today in printing pictures of Kate when she is topless. It is IMPOSSIBLE to justify.

It seems possible that in 2012 when we should have evolved some cognitive sense and rationale of thinking, but in this mornings papers, the hacks, who we know are stupid anyway unfortunately, still get it wrong in relation to the woman's part in rape or what actually happens, is acceptable or is accepted. If any coercion, insistance, pressure or any other way of entering into sexual intercourse or sexual contact is made on behalf of one person against another, it is wrong. It does ot matter what the circumstancs are. IT DOES NOT MATTER if the person is already in bed, drunk, naked or anything else. IT IS WQRONG in any context other than explicit consent. That is all there is too it.

Could we just get one thing clear. Rape is defined as having penetration intecourse with someone who has not given consent. That is that. It is the definition. If someone has not said yes, then they have not given consent. That is the end of the story. Unwanted sexual advance that does not result in penetration is not rape, however if a woman does not want to indulge, or a man for that matter, in intimate petting and they say no, then no it is, and the advance MUST stop immediately. The word NO is not hard to understand and that is the bottom line. If anyone hears the word NO when starting a sexual contact, then they stop what they are doing. Anyone who does not is culpable and stupid and is behaviourally in contempt, and contemptable, and anyone who tries to pretend otherwise, or who continues even in the face of hearing NO, should be taken out and shot, because they are not worth their space on the earth. There are NO counters or arguments that can be given that countermands that concept or principle.

So the Levenson enquiry has turned up yet another misdemeanour by hacks and newspapers. I am not at all surprised, but very very saddend yet again. It is a terrible indictment on our society that the integrity of the people we should be able to rely on for the most absolute best behaviour, fall so far short of proper standards, and by doing so, hold us all to ransom. We are given a load of old nonsense, passed off as truth. It has been ever thus of course. Even the phrase we all know and quote all of the time 'don't believe all you read in the newspaper', should have always been enough to change them around.
I wonder if this enquiry will do the job now. Somehow I doubt it. Unfortunately.
And on another thought. Why do the banks keep advertising on the television. All adverts are ridiculous nonsense of course, but in the wake, and in the light of all that the banks have been found out about, they still advertise with positive words of how wonderful they are. Why do tjheyh do that. Surely nobody believes what they say in the adverts. They look ridiculous and only to be laughed at.
